Interactive hand-puppet theatre and mechanics demonstrations
Meet storybook puppets and discover how their voices work
Magpie Puppets / Maggie Whalen
Maggie Whalen’s Magpie Puppets explicitly offers in-home birthday hand-puppet theatre. The authored program combines interactive stories with either a guitar opening or a demonstration of puppet construction and manipulation, including creating character voices. A 2026 host program independently corroborates the same performer’s continuing glove-and-tabletop puppet work.
Current location note / listed area: Stoneham, Massachusetts; mobile family puppet shows by inquiry
Request the demonstration configuration and current repertoire rather than assuming every opening or story is included. Confirm ages, staging space, sound, accessibility, audience participation and date acceptance. No guest puppet handling is promised. The separately described adult shadow program is not transferred into this family-party offer, and no therapeutic benefit is claimed. The cited May 2026 public show is elapsed continuity evidence, not a current ticket or private availability promise.
