Private collaborative boatbuilding
Work one-to-one with a boatbuilder on your chosen small craft
Chase Small Craft
Clint Chase offers a collaborative-build option: an individualized, one-to-one boatbuilding workshop with direct instruction, spread over multiple weeks when needed. It is distinct from simply purchasing a kit or renting space for an independent build, allowing a participant to work alongside the shop on a feasible chosen boat.
Current location note / listed area: Maine; private workshop location confirmed on inquiry
Confirm current location: the contact page identifies Wiscasset while workshop lodging text and the biography still refer to the Saco area. Ask about dates, skill level, design feasibility, staff and tool roles, materials, storage, duration, transport and remaining work. No completed boat, launch, safety or seaworthiness guarantee is implied; lodging and a group celebration package are not included.

Documented state connections
Geographic evidence is retained historical research, not current service availability.
- Maine · based
The current owned contact page explicitly locates the operating shop in Wiscasset, Maine and requires appointments. Its biography and private-workshop page also place the operation in Maine but retain Saco-area wording, so only state-level base is recorded with exact location confirmation. The homepage has October 2026 updates; private collaborative-build instruction is expressly offered, not inferred from public classes.
