Custom hand-cranked automata
A tiny wooden story brought to life by a crank
Cecilia Schiller
Schiller creates custom gear-driven wooden automata: carved figures and miniature scenes animate as a viewer turns a crank. A commissioned mechanical story offers a keepsake beyond a conventional portrait.
