Private crankie and monster-puppet workshops
Build a hand-cranked miniature storytelling panorama with your group.
Katy Williams Design
Puppeteer Katy Williams offers her studio workshops as private sessions, including making crankies: illustrated moving scrolls in hand-cranked boxes that can incorporate shadow puppets. The session begins with suitcase-crankie demonstrations, then participants build a box and start their own scroll. Monster-puppet construction and original creature rentals are additional offerings from the same operator.
Current location note / listed area: Colorado Springs, Colorado; private studio workshops by arrangement
Private workshops are explicit; a wedding package is not. The general private invitation permits up to eight people, while the crankie listing specifies six spots and ages twelve-plus or adults; confirm the private-session limit and tools directly. Participants may need to finish their scroll at home. Posted public class dates are not proof of private availability. Rental puppets, performers and custom commissions are separate inquiries; no character licensing or turnkey show is implied.
