The DeBakey Cell Lab is explicitly available for private events, with options such as viewing cheek cells and extracting wheat-germ DNA. The museum separately welcomes weddings and receptions, allowing a science-minded couple to inquire about a lab component rather than just hiring an ordinary room.

Current location note / listed area: Houston, Texas; additional locations by inquiry only

Lab inclusion in a wedding requires a separate confirmed arrangement. Participants must be at least seven, with age-specific experiments and supervision rules; protective equipment is required and food, drinks and experiment filming are prohibited. The museum discourages pregnant guests from entering because of live bacteria. Confirm suitability, capacity and staffing directly.
