Private wet-plate portrait sessions

Watch a portrait appear on metal or glass

Travis Brian Linville

Editorial illustration · not a vendor photograph

Linville makes tintype and ambrotype portraits on metal or glass, with an opportunity to watch the wet-plate process. His booking page expressly accepts location commissions and private events, alongside studio sessions. The result is a physical photographic keepsake rather than a digital filter; special image commissions can also be discussed.

Current location note / listed area: Chicago and Elgin, Illinois · location commissions by arrangement

Confirm event acceptance, session format, space, lighting, throughput, plate count, delivery and travel directly. The FAQ notes bright strobes and typically four or fewer subjects per composition; a large guest group is not automatically one portrait. Finishing may occur after the sitting. No wedding package, same-day finished plates, chemical-handling participation or longevity guarantee is assumed.
