Custom catch-impression keepsakes
Turn a meaningful catch into an inverted fish print.
Desmond Thain Fine Art
Desmond Thain accepts clients’ fish for personalized gyotaku gifts and catch trophies. Alongside traditional impressions and carefully colored prints, his inverted format starts with white ink on black cloth, transforming the actual fish’s shape and texture into a dramatic keepsake.
Current location note / listed area: Hawaii; custom catch-print commissions by arrangement
This is a bespoke keepsake commission, not a live wedding station or promised private workshop. Confirm accepted species, provenance, specimen handling, transport arrangements and completion timing before sending anything; the site describes lead times in months, not immediate delivery. No edible-after-printing or legal-specimen assurance is made. The contact page’s city/ZIP combination needs confirmation, so only the independently explicit Hawaii base is used. DT Fine Art and Desmond Katsutaro Thain are one operator.

Owned About explicitly identifies the artist as Hawaii-based, with current custom catch-print and contact pages. Contact city/ZIP inconsistency is retained as an exact-location confirmation caveat; no island shipping route becomes onsite coverage.
